Avidemux is free and open-source software. It is used for non-linear video editing and transcoding multimedia files. It is written in C++ and used for doing tasks like cutting, filtering, encoding, etc. This software uses FFmpeg for its multimedia functions and Qt for its graphical user interface. The developer of Avidemux created it as a simple tool for simple video processing and also allows its users to perform elementary things in a very easy and straightforward manner. It also offers a command-line interface from version 2.4. Installing Avidemux on Windows
Follow the below steps to install Avidemux on Windows:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Avidemux using any web browser.
Step 2: Click on the Downloads button.
Step 3: Next screen will open now click on FossHub button.
Step 4: Next screen will open, now click on Windows Installer button.
Step 5: Now check for the executable file in downloads of your system and open it.
Step 6: After clicking on executable file the setup will start now click on the Next button.
Step 7: The screen will be of installing location, so you can select the drive which will have sufficient memory space for installation and then click the Next button.
Step 8: Next window is of selecting components. Here, all components are already marked so don’t change anything just click on the Next button.
Step 9: Next window will be of license review click on I accept the license and then click on the Next button.
Step 10: Next window is to choose start menu folder, select any name you want otherwise click on Next button.
Step 11: It will prompt confirmation to make changes to your system. Click on Yes.
Step 12: After this installation process will start and will hardly take 2-3 minutes to complete installation.
Step 13: Click on the Finish button after the installation process is complete.
Avidemux is successfully installed on the system and an icon is created on the desktop.
