Round 1: Aptitude and Coding
During the first round of the Global Delight interview, I encountered approximately 40 aptitude questions. Additionally, I had to tackle three coding questions within a time frame of 2 hours. This round was conducted using the doSelect platform.
Round 2: Face-to-Face Technical Interview
In the second round of the interview, the interviewer began by asking me to introduce myself. Then, the interviewer displayed the code that was given in the first round and asked me to explain the logic behind it and also requested to modify the code according to certain requirements. After discussing the code, the interviewer inquired about the projects mentioned in my resume.
The interviewer proceeded to ask a series of technical questions. These questions cover topics such as operating systems, C, Java, and object-oriented programming.
Some of the questions asked were:
- What are mutex, race condition, deadlock, thread, and process? Difference between thread and process.
- Application of Stack and Queue.
- Questions on single and doubly linked lists and how to implement them.
- Questions from computer network concepts.
- Define null, void, and dangling pointers.
- Questions from dynamic memory allocation.
- What are virtual functions and types of polymorphism? Difference between abstract and interface.
- For a nxn matrix, if you map this to a 1D array, how will you access the elements (using row index and column index)?
Round 3: HR
HR asked me questions about the company and its recent achievements. They also inquired about my knowledge and understanding of the company’s products and services. In addition, the HR representative asked if I would be willing and able to relocate.
