Genpact conducted the on-campus drive in our college. It started with the pre-placement talk in which they told us about their organization, the technology Genpact works on, their hiring process, and their exam pattern.
They were offering 3 profile roles:
- Consultant Java Developer
- Management Trainee
- Testing
For each profile, there is a different assessment but almost has the same pattern. Their process is divided into 3 rounds:
Round 1: Technical assessment: On mid of the day, the assessment link came and it was active for 24Hr.you can take the test at any time. The pattern of assessment:

Time: 60 min
Topic: Quantitative, Reasoning, Pseudo Code, DBMS, java, oops, data structure, operating system.
difficulty: Easy/medium
Exam Type: 29 MCQs + 1 coding question
Negative marking: No
Type: Elimination
Note: This is an elimination round. If you fail to qualify you will no longer be able to participate for the rest.
After one day shortlist was declared at night and the next day there was a technical interview.
Round 2: Technical Interview: I got a mail for a technical interview at the scheduled time, this round is also an elimination round.
Pattern:
Duration: 30 mins
Difficulty level: Easy to Moderate
No. of questions:
- Introduction
- Project discussion
- What is oops?
- What are the Pillars of oops? Explain with a real-life example
- Question related to DBMS.
- What are Normalization and its type
- What are Acid properties.
- Tell different types of keys?
- SQL queries related to joining.
- What is binary search and its Algorithms, and its complexity
- Two coding question approach and its complexity
Note: After some time, I got a mail for the Hr round.
Round 3: HR Interview:
- Introduction.
- Tell me about your 2 strengths and 2 weakness.
- Do you want to go for further studies?
- Why are you interested in Genpact? Any specific reason?
After 2 days, the result came, and I got selected for the java developer profile.
