After I graduated in 2020, I applied for the role of an online tutor. An advanced level of English communication skills, vocabulary, and coherence is required for this position. However, despite the fact that my level of English is intermediate, I applied for the post since I was confident I would be chosen for it.
First Round: My first interview experience was successful because I was chosen for the position. I was a little shy and anxious when I first started the interview, but once I introduced myself as my friend, everything went smoothly.
Questions:
- Do you have any experience teaching online?
- Basic English concepts like tenses, fiction terms, etc.
- The interviewer wants to know whether we really care about your flexibility as a teacher because you will be working with many various learning styles and we want to make sure you can handle it.
- They also inquire about your experience in each particular field you intend to work in.
- The interviewer asking me to share my interests, abilities, and weaknesses was one of the most exciting moments.
- Tell me the difference between an adjective and an adverb was the most fundamental inquiry that was initially posed to me.
HR Round: HR also inquired about my decision to become an online tutor by asking me why.
- Why did you decide to pursue the degree you are now pursuing?
I gave sincere answers to those queries, although I’m not sure exactly what I said. Nevertheless, I still recall those circumstances and found them to be fascinating. Even though my background is in the fashion industry, I enjoy teaching students in either an online or offline setting, which is why I applied for this position, was chosen for it, and have been working there for the past 11 months. My first interview for employment with this organization was a truly memorable experience. 🙂 🙂
