AFCAT Full Form – Air Force Common Admission Test

AFCAT Full Form: The full form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT is conducted two times a year (February & August) by the Indian Air Force for its Technical & Non-Technical (Flying Branch and Ground Duty) posts. It is a section for both male and female candidates who wish to join the Indian Air Force for both Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Short Service/Permanent Commission in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical occupations.

AFCAT Examination Syllabus:

  1. English: Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms & Antonyms, Idioms and Phrases, Testing of Vocabulary.
  2. General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environmental Science, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Sports and so on.
  3. Numerical Ability: Number System, Fraction, Decimal, Time & Work, Average, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Proportion & Simple Interest, LCM & HCF, Time & Distance.
  4. Reasoning & Military Aptitude Test: Odd one out, Analogy, Venn Diagram, Pattern Completion, Blood Relation, Missing Figures, Coding & Decoding, Spotting the Embedded Figures and Sequencing.
