Accenture visited Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala during October and November 2022 to recruit talented students for our AEH Intern Role in 2023. This internship opportunity was open to students from all branches and was a great way to gain valuable hands-on experience and develop new skills. In order to be eligible, applicants had to have a CGPA of 6.5 or higher and could not have any active backlogs up to the 3rd semester. To apply, students simply submitted their application online. 604 students were chosen to participate in the online assessment.
Accenture’s recruitment process for the AEH Intern Role included four rounds, with each round serving as an elimination round except for the communication round. The rounds were as follows:
- Cognitive and Technical (MCQ) round: This round tested students’ cognitive abilities and technical knowledge through multiple-choice questions.
- Coding round: This round involved solving coding challenges to assess students’ problem-solving and programming skills.
- Communication round: This round assessed students’ communication skills and their ability to articulate their ideas clearly.
- Technical + HR round (Interview): This final round involved technical and HR interviews to evaluate students’ technical expertise, as well as their fit for the company culture and values.
Overall, the recruitment process was designed to identify the most qualified and well-rounded candidates for the AEH Intern Role at Accenture.
Cognitive and Technical (MCQ) Round: Consisted of 90 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The results of this round were declared immediately within two minutes. If a student qualified for the next round, they moved on to the coding section, which was conducted immediately afterward. Involved in solving challenges to assess students’ problem-solving and programming skills. The difficulty level was between easy and medium.
Coding round: Consisted of 2 questions to be completed in 45 minutes. The difficulty level was between easy and medium. 282 students were eligible for the next round.
Communication round: AI-based assessment. It had six sections with varying time requirements for each candidate to complete each question. The sections were as follows:
- Reading Sentences: This section consisted of 8 questions related to reading and understanding sentences.
- Listening: This section included 16 questions that tested students’ listening comprehension.
- Jumbled Sentences: This section consisted of 10 questions that required students to rearrange jumbled sentences to form a coherent paragraph.
- Retelling Story: This section included 3 questions that asked students to retell a story they had heard.
- Speaking on a Given Topic: This section consisted of 2 questions that required students to speak on a given topic.
This was not an elimination round. The communication round could be taken any time within a 24-hour window, and it was recommended that students take it in a quiet room with good earphones and a strong internet connection.
Around 30 minutes. Consisted of both Technical as well as HR questions. Such as:
- Questions based on Resume.
- Questions based on projects (as mentioned in Resume).
- Questions on data structures such as stack, queue, dequeue, linked list, heap, etc.
- Basic programming questions such as reversal of linked list, strings, Sliding Window Protocol, and other easy to medium level questions.
- Questions on fundamentals of Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
Experience in group projects and other activities. After all, evaluations were completed, the final list consisting of 38 selected students was shared after a few days. Hope this was helpful, Best of Luck.
