SI Unit of Volume is Cubic Metre (m3)
The SI unit of volume is the cubic metre (m3). It is a derived unit that incorporates the three-dimensional use of the base unit of length, the metre. It represents the amount of three-dimensional space occupied by a substance or object. One cubic metre is the volume of a cube with each side one metre long.
The litre (L) is a special name for the cubic decimeter (dm3). Standard metric prefixes are used to highlight large or small volume measures. For example, millilitre (ml) is also used as a unit for measuring volume. For smaller volumes, prefixes such as milli- (m³), centi- (cm³), and micro- (μm³) are commonly used.
