Wells Fargo Interview Experience for Analyst

Wells Fargo visited our college for on-campus hiring for an internship in the month of July for a summer internship. The role offered to us was Analyst. 126 students were shortlisted for the online assessment. The procedure included 3 rounds, one coding round, and 2 interview rounds.

Round 1: Coding Test

The test was conducted on AMCAT software. The test required us to keep the webcam on for the whole test duration. It had 3 sections:

Round 2: Technical round (Time = 45 minutes)

This interview was basically held online through Zoom meetings. The interviewer asked me to introduce myself. I gave an overview of my academic background, hobbies, and family background.

The questions were on skills I mentioned in my resume. She started with C++ questions then she moved to Python. The questions were generic so as to know how much I understand the language.

Next, She asked me a number of SQL queries from me and then some syntax questions from HTML and CSS. She focused on every skill that I had mentioned in my resume.

Next, she asked me about the projects I had done in college duration and I explained them to her in a detailed fashion.

Then, she asked me if I have any questions for her. I asked her for points of improvement on my resume. She said you write code forces and their rating but sometimes not everyone knows about such platform. So, you add some description in such cases.

After this round, 20 students were shortlisted for the next round.

Round 3: HR round (Time = 20 minutes)

This was again scheduled on Zoom. He started by introducing himself and then asked for my introduction. He asked me why most of my projects were in C++ and why is this the case. I told him that I have mostly have worked with C++ during these 2 years and now I am trying to increase my horizon.

Next, he asked about my schooling and college life, where I live in a college city (like as a pg or as in a hostel). Then, he asked me about my co-curricular activities.

Next, he told me about some logistics of the internship that it is shift-based work, you would have to relocate to the city allotted, etc.

A few days later, results came out and 6 were selected and I was one of them.
