Walmart Interview Experience (Off-Campus) for SDE-2 2024

Securing a role as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) is a coveted milestone for many aspiring tech professionals. In particular, landing a position at a prominent company like Walmart Global Tech India can offer unparalleled opportunities for growth and career advancement. To navigate the rigorous interview process successfully, candidates must equip themselves with a combination of technical prowess, preparedness, and a keen understanding of the company’s values and objectives.

Alright, so I recently went through the interview process for the Software Development Engineer-2 role at Walmart Global Tech India. Let me break it down for you.

ROUND-1

So, it all started with some multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and coding challenges. They threw two coding problems at me and said, “Solve these in 90 minutes.” It was all about testing my skills in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA).

ROUND-2

Then came the technical rounds over Zoom. They asked me to solve coding problems right there on an IDE. On top of that, they threw SQL questions, Java Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) stuff, and asked about time complexity. They even dug into my resume projects and asked about computer basics. It was intense!

Key Tips:

1) Practice solving coding puzzles until you’re a pro.

2) Know SQL, Java OOP, and computer basics inside out.

3) Be ready to explain every detail of your resume projects.

ROUND-3

Finally, I had a sit-down with the Hiring Manager. We talked about my final year project, what I do for fun, and why I wanted to join Walmart. It was more about getting to know me and how well I’d fit in with the team.

Key Tips:

1) Just be honest and relaxed.

2) Share why you’re passionate about what you’ve done and why you want to work there.
