Ugam Solutions was one of the companies that had visited in our on-campus recruitment process in mid-September. The Job role that they offered was a Data Analyst. The overall process took place in 4 rounds. Which were aptitude round, Group Discussion, Technical Interview, HR Round. If you are good with your logical reasoning, puzzles, and any programming language then, the overall process would be a bit easy for you and there are high chances that you may get selected.
Round 1: The first round was the aptitude round which is most common in many companies.
The questions asked were basic aptitude questions which had questions from topics like
- Logical Reasoning.
- Data Interpretation.
- Verbal Reasoning.
This round would be easy to crack if you are thorough with your aptitude questions and would require a bit of practice also, most of the students crack this round.
You can prepare for your aptitude from indiabix or any website of your choice as the questions are basic and not tough.
ROUND 2: The second round was a Group discussion which may take place on the next day or the day after tomorrow from the first round.
- All the students who have cleared the first round would be allotted in a group, each group may contain 8 to 10 participants.
- The Host will be giving a topic to your group for the discussion, everyone will be given 5 mins to think about the topic, We were given the topic of ,”The Impact of corona on India”.
- Make sure that you are speaking fluently and do not interrupt the other person in between, try to takeover when the other person is about to finish.
- This round is one of the difficult rounds in the overall process as almost 50% of the students are eliminated in this round. So, try to be polite, It is not necessary to speak more but, speak less with good points.
ROUND 3: The students selected from the GD round will be having a Technical interview which may take place on the next day or the day after tomorrow from the second round the duration of this interview would roughly 30 mins.
- This interview would be based on all the technical stuff that you know and questions would be asked on language which you are comfortable with also, they will be asking you puzzles to assess your logical thinking.
- Basic programming questions like reverse a string, remove vowels, Palindrome, etc would be asked also they may ask you some difficult questions depending upon what type of your answers are.
- They would ask a puzzle to you and you will have 2 to 3 mins to think about how it should be solved, for practising puzzles GeeksforGeeks would be the best place.
- I was asked about the extracurricular activities that I had mentioned in my resume, and a puzzle and a programming question.
ROUND 4: The fourth round would be the last round, depending on your performance in the third round you may be selected or rejected for HR interview. You will receive the call from HR and the whole HR interview would be taking place on the phone call itself.
They will ask you few questions such as:
- What do u know about our company?
- Why do u think we should hire you for this job role?
- What do you think is required to be a good analyst?
- They may also ask you about your resume or hobbies.
- Which location would you like to work Bangalore or Mumbai?
- Do you have any questions for me?
If you receive a call from HR you are almost selected.
These were all the rounds that I had to face before getting selected for this company. Only 25 students from our college were selected. If you are good with your basic knowledge then, there are high chances that you may get selected.
