First-year engineer exam experience
I am an engineering student pursuing my B.tech in Technocrats Institute of Technology Bhopal currently I am in 3rd year and I still remember the day when the first time I took my first semester exam. it is an amazing experience for me because Everything was new for me I still remember the pressure I had at that time but I somehow managed it and tried to calm myself a big thanks to my seniors who told me that it was just an exam you just have to give your one hundred percent. these words work for me and give my exam confidently and similarly, I give my all exams. and waiting for the results.
why am I afraid of exams?
there are some reasons why I am afraid of exams it is not because I am first time giving this kind of exam or not being prepared properly but the reason is in first you have to study all kinds of subjects related to engineering which is really bad for a beginner like me. but it is interesting as well I enjoy those subjects and practicals I learned a lot of new things in my first year and explored different domains and subjects of engineering. in the first semester, you just want to explore the college and the new experience you have which is really overwhelming and I still remember those memories with tears in my eyes. and while exploring the experience you are distracted a little bit from your studies and you need to prepare for different subjects and domains for your semester exams that’s why I am afraid a little bit about the exams but everything goes well with the grace of god and I enjoy the journey after the semester exam I started focusing on my coding skills start I start with java because my senior recommend it. and after a while, I just go to my hometown in my semester holidays.
The result day
when I come to college after the vacation. everything went well again the new cool subjects and new vibe and then suddenly my friend come to me and told that the results are announced and again I was very afraid about the results because I thought I hadn’t given my best this kind of doubt was always comes in my mind during the result days then I just checked my result and guess what I passed in all subjects and I scored 9.2 Sgpa in my first semester it is overwhelming for me.
Tips I want to share from my experience
- Explore new things when you are in your first year
- and also give a little focus on your studies try to attend the classes and make clear notes which will help a lot in your examples
- you can give extra time to your studies on weekends you can give 1 hour to each subject on the weekend
- and you, if give 1 hour to each subject on weekends and attend regular classes so you can easily score good marks same strategy, works for me
- try to participate in different festivals and join tech communities.
- interact with your seniors they will guide you
- make some good friends
