Today I will be sharing My Interview experience with you guys. I got selected for the TCS Prime batch, You all are aware of the company. Let’s start the story.
Hello everyone My name is Harshvardhan. I am pursuing my final year graduation from Chandigarh University specialising in Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning. Several companies visited our college this year but they took very few students with them and by the end of February only 55% of students were placed in my department which was much less than the last year.
Then TCS came to our college in January. Our college told every student to register for the company. After 1 or 2 weeks they select students for the NQT(National Qualifier Test) Exam this test is conducted by the company to check your skills. They asked Quantitative, Logical aptitude, Numerical ability, and 2 coding questions (one easy question and the other medium-level question). My name was not on the list shared by the company then I was very upset on that day I also had a talk with my Placement cell that why my name was not on the list as I was fulfilling all the eligibility criteria they said that the company selected the students for the phase 1 and the company conduct three phases every year so your name may come in rest other phases. After a month the company sent the list for phase 2 and luckily my name was there on the list then I started preparing for the NQT Exam.
On 5th Feb my exam was scheduled and I was a nervous a little bit before entering the hall. At 8:30 exam started firstly the questions were from Numerical ability and there were 25 questions and 25 minutes in each set of aptitude sections. I only solved 14 questions in Numerical ability and the time was up for this section. Then I decided to solve questions faster so that I could solve every question in time. In Quantitative Round I was able to solve 22 questions and I was confident that all 22 questions were correct in the same way I was able to solve 20 questions in the Logical question. Then came the coding round I was not able to solve the easy question and the time was also running I decided to move on to the other question and I was able to solve the Medium level question.
After the Test, the result came after 1 month and I got Selected for the TCS PRIME and my interview was in March. There were lots of students sitting for the interview and After some time my turn came the interview asked questions from my CV related to projects, some machine learning concepts and gave me 2 questions for the code and asked me to pick one technology from the technology I had written and what would be the reason to pick it up. The interview was about 30 minutes. After 3 weeks later the result came and I was selected. I was so happy that day and just couldn’t write how I was feeling that day I spoke with my parents they were also happy that day.
So my suggestion for the upcoming batch is just be yourself and believe in yourself that you can do it always be determined towards your work and never think of failure. And I would like to end my story with a beautiful thought “Hardwork Always Pays Off”.
