Mountblue Technologies Interview Experience

No coding questions are shared, only interview structure and personal suggestions.

First, go to the Mountblue website and read everything about hiring also the FAQ and join the discord channel with the link provided there and read channel instructions which cover almost everything.

I’ll divide the total hiring process into 3 steps, as hiring takes between 2 to 5 months(or more).

STEP 0:

I went to the Mountblue company website and applied using the email that’s it they don’t even ask for a resume as they are only interested in your problem-solving and coding skills. Immediately I received an automated mail from Mountblue which contained a link that directed me to the Hackerrank coding challenge. I created a Hackerrank account and started solving 122 challenge problems and completed them by Dec 19th, 2023. After completing 122 problems with all test cases my challenge rank became 1 just like 100s of other students now I am qualified to apply for the next round. Then I went to my hackerrank profile page on my laptop took my profile screenshot and applied for the next round with a link you can find in the discord channel instructions. After 20 days I received an email that said something like “As there are many students who submitted challenge we’ll arrange an interview soon “. This is where actual hiring starts because now they’ve considered your profile as they’ve verified your Hackerrank challenge.

STEP 1:

On Jan 13th I received an email that asked me to select an offline interview location either Bengaluru or Delhi NCR. On Jan 15th I received an email confirming the interview location and time with a Google calendar invite which is Feb 3rd at 11.30 AM Bengaluru.

STEP 2:

On Feb 3rd morning I arrived at the Mountblue office which is not difficult to find with Google Maps as the location is a well-known area. Try to come to the location at least 1 hour before. I arrived at the location by 10 AM, there was enough space in the office to sit and relax and complete the final revision. The interview process started they gave us 1 pattern problem on paper and asked us to write pseudocode along with the name and time we started solving a problem they’ll consider the time taken to solve the problem, and after completing that you need to show it to sir after verifying sir asks you to execute it I used local IDE you can use VS-code or local IDE or any online IDE no problem. After sir verifying your output they give you another problem on paper you’ve to write pseudocode and the time you start and the process continues after completing some 5 or 6 problems they’ll tell you you’re selected for the final round and wait fa or non-technical assessment mail, i received the mail by evening same day. Some students who were informed that they’ve been selected haven’t received non-tech assessment mail yet which means their applications are on hold.

STEP 3:

After reaching home I completed a non-tech assessment which took around 15 minutes and contained a few questions like what programming languages you are comfortable with and a few questions you need to give video responses like what you know about Mountblue, and what technologies have you learned apart from the college curriculum. Make sure the audio is clear and the internet is good you can give a video response again if there is any problem there are two options submit or retake. After 2 days I received an email saying your non-tech assessment was completed successfully and to give us 7 to 10 days to share the result.

Now I am currently waiting for the selection mail.
