Microsoft Azure – Connecting Windows VM using RDP

In this article, we will look into how to connect to Windows VMs with RDP. Azure makes it really easy for you to connect to your Windows VMs using RDP. 

Follow the below steps to connect a Windows Virtual machine using RDP:



Step 1: First, head over to the Virtual Machine that you want to connect to. 



Step 2: Now in the top navigation bar, we need to hit the “Connect Button”.

What this will do is have you download an RDP file. We’ll save this on the desktop. 

Step 3: Now open the “File”, and hit “Connect”.

Step 4: Now we have to make sure that we use the correct account, and we have to put in our password. 

Step 5: Then go ahead and accept the certificate for the connection, and at no time at all, we’ll be connected to our Virtual Machine.
