Microsoft Azure – Azure Application Service Environments v2 Private PaaS Environments in the Cloud

Pre-requisite: Azure

Microsoft Azure is a Cloud Computing Platform and Infrastructure created by Microsoft for building, deploying, and managing applications and services through a global network of Microsoft-managed data centers. Azure Application Service Environments (ASE) v2 is a private Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment in the cloud that provides a fully managed, dedicated environment for hosting web, mobile, and API applications. It is designed to support high-scale, secure, and isolated applications with predictable and consistent performance.

Application Service Environments v2

ASE v2 are private Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments in the cloud that allow you to host and scale web, mobile, and API apps. These environments are designed to provide high performance, scalability, and security for applications that require a dedicated hosting environment.

These environments are isolated from other Azure resources and provide dedicated computing and networking resources. They can be configured with multiple scale units, which allow you to scale out your app’s capacity and throughput as needed. ASE v2 environments also provide built-in load balancing and auto-scaling capabilities to help manage the performance and availability of your applications.

In addition to hosting web, mobile, and API apps, ASE v2 environments also support the hosting of Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Container Instances (ACI). This allows you to use a single ASE v2 environment to host a variety of different types of applications and workloads. They are fully managed by Microsoft and are designed to provide a secure and highly available hosting environment for your applications. They are ideal for applications that require a dedicated hosting environment and high levels of performance, scalability, and security.
