MHT-CET Exam Experience 2021

I am currently in my third year of Computer Science Engineering at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur. I want to share my experience of how I successfully cleared the Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) an engineering entrance exam, that opened the doors to admission to an engineering college in Maharashtra. Facing challenges after scoring less in the JEE exam, I turned to MHT-CET as my pathway to engineering education.

Embracing Online Resources:

During the challenging times of COVID-19, I turned to online platforms like YouTube for my exam preparation. One standout resource was Dinesh Sir’s classes, which proved immensely helpful in preparing for the MHT-CET exam.

Strategic Preparation:

I started my preparation for the MHT-CET exam in April 2021 and took the exam in September 2021. Knowing my strengths and weaknesses, I devised a strategy to prioritize Chemistry and Maths, subjects I was confident in while allocating less time to Physics, an area of weakness for me.

Consistency and Dedication:

Competitive exams demand consistent effort and dedication. Unlike college exams that can be crammed into one night, competitive exams require a long-term commitment to studying and understanding concepts. My success in the MHT-CET exam was a result of consistent study habits and unwavering dedication to achieving my goals.

Exam Performance and Results:

My strategy paid off as I confidently tackled the Chemistry and Maths sections, securing an impressive 99.01 percentile in Chemistry and 95.11 percentile in Maths. Despite a lower score in Physics (50 percentile), my strong performance in the other subjects lifted my overall score to 95.17 percentile.

Admission and Beyond:

Thanks to my MHT-CET performance, I secured admission to Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur, in the Computer Science branch. This journey taught me the importance of strategy, resourcefulness, consistency, and dedication in overcoming challenges and achieving one’s goals.

Clearing the MHT-CET exam was not just about achieving a percentile; it symbolized my determination to pursue engineering despite setbacks. Leveraging online resources, strategic planning, and unwavering dedication were key factors in my success, showcasing the power of consistency and perseverance in competitive exams.
