Lumen Technology visits my college in virtual mode on 14th December 2023. The overall hiring process comprised of two rounds held on 2 different days with an interval of 4 days.
The hiring MCQs Process consists of 2 rounds of questions (a). Aptitude round (b). Technical Interview.
ROUND -1 :
The first round consists of 28 questions (MCQs type) comprised of c,c++, aptitude, logical, and techncial questions and some output based questions. (Test duration: 1 hour).
Quantitative aptitude and logical questions are more predominant type and more intuitive. One can solve these questions without using pen and paper. Questions were more tricky not the difficult. I would say prepare from some websites like gfg,indiabix, and some other resources.
The technical portion covers DBMS, OS, Computer networks, DSA and some output questions (a little bit moderate type).
I would suggest keeping yourself calm and don`t stress yourself. Don’t waste much time on a single question. You need to solve 28 questions in 60 minutes, so keep this in mind.
VERDICT: I got selected for the final round (I was one of the only 4 candidates selected for the final round).
Round -2(Managerial round):
This was a type of surprise for me, in the initial few minutes interviewer introduced himself and asked me to introduce myself .
- After the introduction, he asked me to tell me more about my final year project and asked me some questions related to the project like why I chose this project and what the technologies you are going to use in this project.
- He asked me some traditional questions like team management and team conflict.
- What are the problems you faced while developing this project?
- Some scenario-based questions(like what is your priority list).
- Asked me more about my skills and some questions about extra-curricular activities.
- Surprisingly there are no technical questions.
Finally, after waiting for 4 days, I got my result on the 21st (late evening) and I didn`t make it.
I almost got a heartbreak…..
of Prepare yourself for traditional questions like introducing yourself around questions, team conflict, team management and project-related questions.
