The toLocalTime() method of LocalDateTime class is used to get the LocalTime representation of this LocalDateTime. This method is derived from the Object Class and behaves in the similar way.
Syntax:
public LocalTime toLocalTime()
Parameter: This method takes no parameters.
Returns: This method returns a LocalTime value which is the LocalTime representation of this LocalDateTime.
Below programs illustrate the LocalDateTime.toLocalTime() method:
Program 1:
// Program to illustrate the toLocalTime() method import java.util.*;
import java.time.*;
public class GfG {
public static void main(String[] args)
{
// Get the LocalDateTime instance
LocalDateTime dt = LocalDateTime.now();
// Get the LocalTime representation of this LocalDateTime
// using toLocalTime() method
System.out.println(dt.toLocalTime());
}
} |
Output:
10:20:00.280
Program 2:
// Program to illustrate the toLocalTime() method import java.util.*;
import java.time.*;
public class GfG {
public static void main(String[] args)
{
// Get the LocalDateTime instance
LocalDateTime dt
= LocalDateTime
.parse( "2018-11-03T12:45:30" );
// Get the LocalTime representation of this LocalDateTime
// using toLocalTime() method
System.out.println(dt.toLocalTime());
}
} |
Output:
