After an employment gap of 6 months, after I resigned from TCS for UPSC preparation, I joined KadelLabs Pvt. Ltd.(Udaipur), an IT company in April 2022. I was offered the role of a backend developer in PHP Laravel. However I had no prior experience with backend technologies since I worked as a frontend developer.
How My Journey Begins
From the very first day, the project was assigned to me and I was introduced to my team members( again it was a Home job). I got the overview of the project and the contribution that I would be making.
Well at the beginning I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to perform but the faith my Leader had in me boosted my confidence. Gradually with time I learned to code in Laravel and my peers helped me a lot to learn new technology and sail through this new journey. I was performing as per the expectations they had with me and soon I was assigned to some other project. It was a project of a foreign client and my team consisted of just me and my project head. I was the only person to manage the project and interact with the client. It was my first experience handling an overseas client’s project.
On the very first day of interaction, I was appreciated by my client and my project head. Gradually with time the client, project head, and manager started appreciating my hard work and my skills. I was performing very well and all was going well.
My Last Day.
In November 2022, I thought of again preparing for UPSC but this time with some coaching as I was not able to manage with the job so I negotiated with my leader about resigning from my job. I was requested to stay and continue with my job as I was a good performer but I had some other plans for me.
I finally gave my resignation and my role as software developer came to an end.
I would love to work in this company again if I ever get a chance.
