jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxDropDownList widget is a jQuery drop-down list that contains a list of selectable items displayed in the drop-down list.
The getItemByValue() method is used to get an item by its value. It accepts a single parameter itemValue of String type and does not return any value.
The returned value has the following fields:
- label – It specifies the label of item.
- value – It specifies the value of item.
- disabled – It specifies whether the item is enabled/disabled.
- checked – It specifies whether the item is checked/unchecked.
- hasThreeStates – It specifies that the checkbox item supports three states.
- html – It specifies the display item in HTML. It can be used instead of label.
- index – It specifies the item index number.
- group – It specifies the item’s group.
Syntax:
$("Selector").jqxDropDownList('getItemByValue', itemValue);
