jQuery event.pageX Property

The jQuery event.pageX is an inbuilt property which is used to find the position of the mouse pointer relative to the left edge of the document

Syntax:



event.pageX

Parameter: It does not accept any parameter because it is a property not a function. 

jQuery examples to show the working of event.pageX property: 
Example 1: In the below code, top left position of the mouse-pointer is showing.

<head>

    </script>
  
    <script>

            $(document).ready(function () {
                $(document).mousemove(function (event) {

    <p>
        X co-ordinate position of the mouse-pointer is : 
        <span></span>
    </p>

Example 2: In the below code, top right corner position of the mouse-pointer is showing.
