JavaScript Set constructor Property

JavaScript Set Constructor Property is used to return the Set constructor() for the object. It only returns the reference of the function and does not return the name of the function. In JavaScript set, it returns the function Set(){ [native code] }.

Syntax

Set.constructor

Parameter: It does not take any parameter.

Return Value: It returns the function reference i.e. function Set() { [native code] }.

Below are the two examples of Set Constructor Property

Example 1: This example shows the basic use of the Set constructor Property in Javascript.

function func() {
    const set1 = new Set();
    set1.add(7);
    set1.add("mansi");
    set1.add(8);
    console.log(set1.constructor);
}
func();

Output

ƒ Set() { [native code] }

Example 2: In this example, we compare the myset.constructor with the Set constructor function.

// Initialize a Set object
// using Set() constructor
let myset = new Set()

// Insert new elements in the
// set using add() method
myset.add(3);
myset.add(2);
myset.add(9);
myset.add(6);

// Print the values stored in set
console.log(myset);

const setConstructor = myset.constructor;
console.log(setConstructor === Set);

Output
Set(4) { 3, 2, 9, 6 }
true
