Syntax:
public LocalDate dateYearDay(Era era, int yearOfEra, int dayOfYear)
Parameter: This method takes the following arguments as parameter.
- era: which is the object of type Era
- year: which is the integer year for the year field of LocalDate
- day: which is the integer day for the day field of LocalDate
Return Value: This method returns the local date according to the Iso calendar for the particular era.
Below are the examples to illustrate the dateYearDay() method:
Example 1:
// Java program to demonstrate // dateYearDay() method import java.util.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.time.*;
import java.time.chrono.*;
public class GFG {
public static void main(String[] argv)
{
try {
// creating and initializing
// LocalDate Object
LocalDate hidate = LocalDate.now();
// getting IsoChronology
// used in LocalDate
IsoChronology crono
= hidate.getChronology();
// getting LocalDate for the
// given date and year field
// by using dateYearDay() method
LocalDate date
= crono.dateYearDay(
IsoEra.BCE, 1440 , 24 );
// display the result
System.out.println( "LocalDate is: "
+ date);
}
catch (DateTimeException e) {
System.out.println( "passed parameter can "
+ "not form a date" );
System.out.println( "Exception thrown: " + e);
}
}
} |
Output:
LocalDate is: -1439-01-24
Example 2:
// Java program to demonstrate // dateYearDay() method import java.util.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.time.*;
import java.time.chrono.*;
public class GFG {
public static void main(String[] argv)
{
try {
// creating and initializing
// LocalDate Object
LocalDate hidate = LocalDate.now();
// getting IsoChronology
// used in LocalDate
IsoChronology crono
= hidate.getChronology();
// getting LocalDate for the
// given date and year field
// by using dateYearDay() method
LocalDate date
= crono.dateYearDay(
IsoEra.BCE, 0000 , 30 );
// display the result
System.out.println( "LocalDate is: "
+ date);
}
catch (DateTimeException e) {
System.out.println( "passed parameter can "
+ "not form a date" );
System.out.println( "Exception thrown: " + e);
}
}
} |
Output:
LocalDate is: 0001-01-30
