I participated in the Infosys off-campus Placements and the selection process consisted of four rounds:
Round 1:
- There were two coding questions:
- Find the longest non-repeating substring.
- Parenthesize an expression to maximize its value. The expression contains +, -, and * operators and is similar to matrix chain multiplication.
- Around 330 candidates took this exam, and 170 students were selected for the second round.
Round 2:
- Technical interview for the role of IT.
- Candidates were asked to assemble in an auditorium at 8:30 am and wait for their interview.
- I was interviewed at 2:30 pm by a panel of three interviewers, named P1, P2, and P3.
- The panelists asked me about my background, project, and knowledge of data structures.
- They tested my problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and understanding of the project.
- The questions asked included finding the middle node of a linked list, finding two missing numbers in an array, and a logical puzzle.=
- The interview lasted for 25 minutes, and I was asked to wait outside.
Round 3:
- Managerial interview with a manager from the Supply Chain department.
- The interviewer asked me about my hobbies, campus life, and why I chose Infosys.
- She also asked me where I see myself in five years and provided satisfying answers to my questions about Infosys culture, the IT profile, and future trends in IT.
- The interview lasted for 40 minutes.
Round 4:
- HR interview for formalities such as availability for internships, willingness to work for five days a week, and plans for higher studies.
- The interviewer ticked off my answers on a sheet.
