The hiring process for Infosys takes place through Infytq. Here I am sharing my interview experience which was held on 16th July 2022. Before that, I want to share the process for selection for an interview. Firstly I gave the Infosys certification exam through the Infytq platform in Feb 2022.
Round I- This round is known as the Certification round.
Time duration-3 hours
- This round consists of 20 MCQs in which 10 MCQs are of DBMS and the rest are of programming language(Java/Python)(whichever use have chosen in filling the form)
Difficulty-Easy to Medium(mostly easy)
Suggestion-Focus on topics like Normal forms, inheritance, abstraction and other OOP concepts, etc.
- It consists of 2 coding questions
Difficulty-Easy to Medium
Suggestion-Focus on topics such as string, array, matrix etc.
If we get more than 65% then we will be eligible for the next round i.e. Advantage Round. I was able to solve both the coding questions so I was eligible for the next round which was held in March 2022.
Round II-Advantage Round
This round consists of 3 coding questions
Difficulty-Medium to Hard
Suggestion-Focus on DSA(Data structure and algorithm) topics such as recursion, tree, matrix, stack, linked list etc.
On the performance of this round three different PPO(Pre-placement Offer) are offered.

- System Engineer
I was selected for the System Engineer and my interview was scheduled on 16th July 2022.
INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE: Time Duration-Approx. 15-20 min
Firstly he asked me to show his ID card then the interview was started
Questions:-
- Where do you want to see yourself after 5-10 years?
- Why do you choose Computer Science?
- View in database and command for view
- Explain Binary search tree algorithm(Algorithm and not the definition)
- What is DFS(Depth First Search)?
- Explain decorators, namespaces in Python.
- DML and DDL commands
- How to drop a column?
- Difference between.
- Stack and Queue.
- Abstraction and Encapsulation
- List and Tuple
- Inner and Outer join
- Primary Key and Foreign Key
- Explain Normalization and 2NF and BCNF
- He asked to share the screen and write a program on printing prime numbers within a given range.
At last he asked do you have any questions and I asked how to improve my performance. Then at last he said Thank You.
Suggestion:Just brush up on basic concepts of your chosen language and skills mentioned in your resume ,oops and DBMS.
For Python focus on.

- Scripting language, Interpreted language, slicing, indexing
- List, tuples, dictionary, sets
- Decorators, namespaces, modules, oops
- Applications, Libraries etc.
