How to Register/Change Mobile Number in EPF Account?

Ensuring your mobile number is linked to your EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) account is crucial for receiving updates, accessing online services, and verifying transactions. Here’s how to register or update your mobile number in a few simple steps:

Registering a New Mobile Number

Method 1: Online via EPFO Member Portal

  1. Visit the EPFO Member Portal: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
  2. Log in with your UAN and password.
  3. Click on “Manage” > “Contact Details“.
  4. Choose “Register Mobile Number“.
  5. Enter your new mobile number twice and click “Get OTP“.
  6. Enter the received OTP and click “Submit“.

Method 2: Online via UMANG App

  1. Download the UMANG app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  2. Register or log in with your UAN and password.
  3. Under “EPFO Services“, select “Register Mobile Number“.
  4. Enter your new mobile number and click “Get OTP“.
  5. Enter the received OTP and click “Submit“.

Method 3: Offline via EPFO Office

  1. Visit your nearest EPFO regional office.
  2. Carry your UAN, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook.
  3. Submit a duly filled “Member Data Change Request Form” available at the office.

Updating an Existing Mobile Number

  1. Follow the same steps as for registering a new mobile number (mentioned above).
  2. When entering your mobile number, choose “Update Mobile Number” instead of “Register Mobile Number“.
