How to Make UPI Payments on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp is not an application that is used only for contacting an individual. Now any individual can directly pay a person via WhatsApp. WhatsApp uses the UPI method to transfer amounts from one bank to another bank. In this article, let us find out the steps that will help to use UPI Payment WhatsApp.

 

How to Create Whatsapp UPI ID?

Step 1: To enable WhatsApp payments, open WhatsApp first. Then, click on the three dots present at the corner side of the screen. There will be some options present. Click on Payments to proceed further.



 

Step 2: Now click on the Accept & Continue button to move ahead in the process. By accepting, consent is provided to the terms of WhatsApp.

Step 3: In the next tab, a list of Banks will be available. Choose the particular bank where you have an account. Also, the number that is registered in that bank account should be the same as the WhatsApp number. Then only the UPI Payment WhatsApp will be possible.

 

Step 4: Now, in the next tab, click on Verify. Here, WhatsApp is going to verify the number with the bank account. In this case, an SMS will be sent to the bank to verify the number. So, you should use the sim where SMS can be sent.

 

Step 5: Then it will take some time to verify the process. Wait till the process is completed.

 

Step 6: After the verification is completed, find the details of the account & then click on continue to move ahead in the process.

 

Step 7; In the next window, provide the last digits of the Debit Card & the Expiry Date of it for verification purposes in the WhatsApp payments. After that, set the UPI code for the transaction process.

 

Step 8: At last, find a message that the process is completed. Also, the account details will be present there.

 

Hence, we have successfully configured the WhatsApp Payment method.
