A proxy ARP is an Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) that acts on behalf of a set of hosts. Proxy as the name suggests “replacement” When a client requests to look for the host IP address, and that host router is running proxy ARP, in that scenario the router sends its own physical address (Hardware Address) as a reply. When the router receives the packet it sends the packet to its corresponding host system.
Depending upon the device proxy setting change, the following are the way according to connect proxy settings:
- Android Proxy setting
- Go to phone setting and tap Wi-Fi
- Tap Proxy and changed it to Automatic or manual. In the case of, manually entering the hostname and proxy port(e.g., us.changeproxy.com:10101). Save the changes.
- Check your IP address.
Window’s Proxy Setting:
- Open Setting→Network & Internet→proxy.
- Automatically detect setting (Window configures the proxy setting Automatically).
- Setup Scripts – Enter the location of the proxy setup script of your organization. (Manually) and Save it.
- Manually – Enter the Address (server name or IP address ) and port. Mainly, the port address is 8080. Save it.
