Government Engineering College Sheikhpura Admission Experience

As the results for the JEE Mains examination rolled in during the year 2023, I found myself facing a harsh reality: my performance did not meet the expectations I had set for myself. Disheartened and anxious about my future, I grappled with the daunting prospect of achieving my dream career as a software engineer. With my aspirations set on securing admission to the prestigious IITs, the outcome of my exam seemed to close the door on that possibility. In the face of adversity, I found myself confronted with a singular option: seeking admission to a private college. However, as a member of a middle-class family, the financial burden associated with private education loomed large and seemed insurmountable.

So I began to lose hope, I stumbled upon a ray of light: the UGEAC counseling program run by the Bihar government for its residents based on JEE mains. This counseling offered a way for students to enroll in engineering colleges for a Bachelor of Technology degree. Intrigued by the opportunity, I decided to learn more about it.

First, I looked into the eligibility criteria. Here’s what I found:

With determination to meet the criteria, I eagerly awaited the commencement of registrations. Before the registration window opened, I ensured I had gathered all the necessary documents and arranged the application fee. Then, in the balmy month of June 2023, as the registration portal unfurled its digital gates, I wasted no time. Seizing my laptop, I navigated to the website, diligently inputting all required information, uploading the requisite documents, and promptly submitting my application after paying the fee.

With excitement, I checked the BCECE board’s merit list and found my name listed. Next up was the choice filling and locking process. I ranked my preferred colleges and submitted my choices. Finally, I received my allocation: a seat at the Government Engineering College Sheikhpura, nestled among the hills—a place where learning thrives.
