Square of a number is the multiplication of the same number twice. The result obtained after multiplication is known as a square. The square of a number will always be positive. It can not be negative because when we say we multiply the same number twice it means that we are multiplying their sign also. Steps of Finding Squares
For the calculation of a number we need to follow certain steps:
Step 1: Specify the numbers, whose squares we have to find.
Step 2: Check their sign, either it will be positive or negative.
Step 3: Now multiply the number twice.
Step 4: Multiply their sign twice.
Step 5: We can also ignore the sign either it is positive or negative because we know that answer will always be positive.
Step 6: The result obtained after multiplication is known as the square of the given number.

Solution:
We have to find the square of 5.
Multiply 5 twice
= 5 × 5
= 25
(5)² = 25
