ROUND 1 (APTITUDE, ENGLISH SPEAKING, AND LISTENING TEST)
The first round was taken on an online platform and the total number of questions were more than 100 aptitude questions, basic reasoning, mathematical aptitude as well as English speaking and listening test. This was not very tough and anyone with medium knowledge of simple and basic aptitude and good English knowledge would have qualified for this round.
ROUND 2 (TECHNICAL + HR INTERVIEW)
Cognizant had come to our College to hire engineers for the post of Programmer Analyst Trainee. I did not have to clear a technical test or you can say a coding test to qualify for an interview we were shortlisted on the basis of aptitude and English speaking learning and listening test. After clearing the technical test that it didn’t include code.
- This was the time for the final technical + HR interview. The interview lasted approximately 35 to 40 minutes. The interview started by asking me for an introduction. After that, during the guy giving my introduction, he kept asking questions about my projects. My project was based on it that is the internet of things so got really interested in knowing that. After that he did try me some coding questions first he asked me to the program Fibonacci series in C++ after that ask me to do a binary search on an area of n size after that he asked me questions on the DBMS that is an abstraction, Polymorphism, etc.
- During the final 10 minutes, he kept asking me whether I will prefer to work night shifts or whether I’ll be able to relocate to any of the locations that the company may give. The conclusion of this interview is that I can say it was not very tough but it was a bit lengthy and a bit tiring.
Suggestion: I would suggest doing the practice basic and easy problems from sites like GeeksforGeeks, leetcode, etc. as it will give the confidence to solve problems and this will be enough to qualify for this interview.
