Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Divyangjan, Kanpur Campus Experience for B.tech IT.

Currently I am a final year student of Dr. AITD, Kanpur where I am pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology. Overall, the college experience is filled up with ups and downs at various stages.

About the Campus:

The campus is divided into wings representing various disciplines and branches. This college has a big ground which includes basketball and volleyball courts and many others. College provides central Library , placement support through training and placement cell(T&P) . Various clubs are there in college like Google Developer Student Club(GDSC) , E-cell to support entrepreneurial mindset. Biggest fest of our college is Shankhnaad which is a three- day event . Shankhnaad consists of cultural events, literary events and numerous tech events. Tech events consists of number of contests and various other competitions like Hackathons, Robo war, Robo soccer and many others. There is a dedicated page on instagram to represent tech events of our college with id techwizard.aith . Estimated size of campus is around 15 acres(approx), I'm not sure about exact area size but as a student I can tell you that this college don't have big area like BIET, Jhansi or HBTU, Kanpur . You will find enough greenery there in campus. Best thing about campus is that it is located in city area of Kanpur.

First year Experience:

We arrived in first year of college with mindset to explore new things about college life and also to explore a big city like Kanpur because for a village boy like me these things excite in early stages. We did a lot of exploration, visited various places. We came to know about various tech related things like various programming languages like Java, C , C++ etc. and many other technology like web development , android development and many others. Later on , my interest towards web development increases. Along with these explorations , we tried to manage curriculum and semester exams too. During first semester , I participated in sports event of my college.

Second year Experience:

My second year is mostly spent on learning programming skills with programming language Java and web development skills. I spent a lot of time to learn Data Structures and Algorithms(DSA). During college fests , I remain an active member as a coordinator in some events. During second year , I participated in Hackathon too.

Third Year Experience:

Third year starts with a hustle to get internship in which we tried to become intern as a software developer intern in various tech companies. We filled up many forms , gave many test and contests and finally, I got an internship offer too. Third year also bring me to realize that scoring good CGPA also matters because it makes a good impression in front of recruiter.

Final Year Experience:

Final year is also going well , few of my colleagues got placed in tech company and many others are trying , hope so, soon every one will get placed. GATE results of our college has remain impressing over many years. Many seniors have reached IIT Kanpur and other IITs through GATE Exam. Farewell culture in college is also good.
