I recently got an offer to interview at Zomato for the position of Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern, and I must say that my overall experience was extremely positive. The entire process was well-structured, the interviewers were friendly and knowledgeable, and I had the chance to showcase my skills and passion for software development.

The initial part of the interview focused on my React projects, specifically highlighting my GitHub Finder project. The interviewers were genuinely interested in understanding the purpose and features of the project. They asked me to walk them through the project, explaining its functionalities and any challenges I encountered during its development. I elaborated on how I leveraged React components, state management, and API integration to create a seamless user experience. They were particularly interested in the technical details and the innovative aspects of my project. We discussed the architecture, design patterns, and any unique solutions I implemented. It was gratifying to have the opportunity to share my React project experiences and receive positive feedback from the interviewers.

The interviewers also showed great interest in my participation in a hackathon and asked me to provide more information about it. They inquired about the problem statement, my role in the team, and the outcome of the hackathon. I explained the details of the hackathon, highlighting the specific problem we were tasked with solving. I discussed my role in the team and how we collaborated to come up with an innovative solution. I shared the challenges we faced during the intense timeframe and the valuable lessons I learned from the experience. The interviewers were impressed with my participation in the hackathon and appreciated the practical exposure I gained through it.

Following the discussion on my React projects and hackathon experience, the interview shifted toward Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). The interviewers took a collaborative approach and shared a common code base with me. They asked JavaScript-related questions in the context of DSA to assess my understanding and problem-solving skills. The questions were designed to test my knowledge of key DSA concepts and how effectively I could apply them to real-world scenarios. One particular question they asked me was related to the implementation of merge sort.

During the DSA discussion, the interviewers asked additional JavaScript questions related to other data structures and algorithms. I was able to confidently answer their questions and provide efficient JavaScript solutions to the problems presented. The interviewers acknowledged my understanding of JavaScript and my ability to apply it to solve algorithmic challenges.

Overall, my interview experience at Zomato for the SDE intern position was highly positive. The interviewers showed a genuine interest in my React projects and hackathon experience. They provided a collaborative environment during the DSA discussion, sharing a common code base and asking relevant JavaScript questions, including merge sort. The interviewers were friendly, and approachable, and appreciated my enthusiasm for software development. It was a fulfilling experience that further fueled my excitement to contribute to the innovative work being done at Zomato.
