Xoriant came to my college on 20th July 2020. There were 4 rounds including 1) Aptitude test  2)Technical interview (TR) 3)HR interview  4)MR interview

All process was online due to corona pandemic.

ROUND 1 (Aptitude test)  :

In the aptitude test, there were many sections like quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, MCQs on java, MCQs on OS, and the last section was of 2 coding questions(1 easy,1 hard, both on Array).Quantitative section contained questions on time-work,speed-distance,average,profit-loss etc .Verbal ability and java section were easy. Os section was a bit hard. In the coding section, there were 2 codes to solve. Codes were easy and were based on basic array manipulation .U must solve both codes to clear this round.

Around 30-40 students cleared this round and went for a Technical interview. I was one of them.

ROUND 2 ( Technical interview):

The management of the interview process was very poor. I waited for 6-7 hours for my turn. Finally, after waiting for a long time, my turn came. The interview was in a zoom meeting. I entered the meeting. No one was on the other side. I again waited for 5-10 minutes and one Interviewer joined the meeting. He was friendly and polite.

First question was tell me about yourself(obviously). After that he asked me some basic coding questions like convert for loop to while loop, swap 2 variables without using 3rd variable(sol: a,b=b,a(python), [ a=a+b,b=a-b,a=a-b(c,cpp)],question on pre-increment and post-increment.I answered all confidently.

After he asked some DBMS queries(group by, aggregate function, etc). After that, he asked some basic HTML questions and other front-end related questions. I answered HTML question but couldn’t able to answer others. I told him that I am not good at the front-end hence he switched domain to Os.

He asked me 4 Os related questions. As I didn’t prepare OS well, I told him I don’t know.

Finally, he asked me about my project and we were discussing it for 5-10 minutes.

After that, he asked me to leave the meeting and wait for the result.

Result: I didn’t shortlist. Around 9-10 students cleared the TR round went for the HR and MR round. But no one got an offer letter.

Suggestions: Xoriant looks for a student who is good at programming, OS, Database, in the front-end as well as in the backend. So prepare well.

Thank you, Best of Luck!
