Hello geeks,  I am from a non-IT background (ECE). I have applied for a “Project Engineer Role” in Wipro. One of the most reputed IT Firms in India. There were a total of 3 rounds Conducted. In the first round, an exam had questions on aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, coding, and essay writing. Questions were divided as:

  • 16 questions were from quantitative aptitude,
  • 14 questions from logical reasoning,
  • 22 questions on verbal reasoning,
  • 2 coding questions,
  • 1 essay writing

The questions related to aptitude, reasoning, and coding were all easy-medium range toughness and the coding question was basic codes on the array and string manipulation. The essay is on general topics such as social media views, the consequences of using too much technology, and so on. The result was declared 2 weeks after the exam and the interview is scheduled 1 week after the results were obtained.

The interview questions that were asked during my interview are as follows:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • What programming language were you comfortable with? (JAVA in my case)
  • What is inheritance, abstraction, polymorphism, encapsulation
  • Difference between method overriding and method overloading
  • Why did you choose java over other languages?
  • Features and applications of java
  • Core questions related to my branches (ECE) such as the difference between microprocessors and microcontrollers, full wave rectifier uses and what elements are used in semiconductors.

After the interview, I got a mail that I was selected for the turbo role as I have done well in my exam conducted. They started training shortly on Full Stack Development using JAVA.
