So Virtusa Corporation is an American information technology services company founded in 1996 in Sri Lanka and has its headquarters in Southborough, Massachusetts, United States. The company provides IT consulting, business consulting, systems implementation, and application outsourcing services to large enterprises and software vendors.

The company had conducted the placement drive in October 2021 for the fresher passing out batch of 2022. The Criteria to appear for this drive is mentioned as follows

Education Criteria:

  • 10th , 12th & graduation /Post graduation  – Overall 65% or Above
  • Full-time degree – BE/B.TECH and ME/MTech – All the streams are eligible
  • Year of Passing: Students in their final year are eligible  ( 2022 Pass outs only )

Selection process: The selection process was mentioned as follows: 

  • All the Eligible candidates  must go through the below online assessment
  • Exam Duration:- 3 hours
  • Power Coding is optional: Those aiming for a higher package can go ahead and attempt this section

Those clearing Technical Assessment will have 1 Technical & 1 HR round.
So let’s move to the main part 

Round 1: Online Assessment

Coding questions are of medium to hard category. we can code in our preferred language. The first coding questions are easy to solve if are having good practice but if try to solve the power coding section it goes to the next level and you need to have a good understanding of data structures, advanced algorithms,s and code optimization methods.
I recommend you to code in the following options

  1. C++
  2. Java
  3. Python

If you can code in all these languages that are more suitable. In the exam, we have to solve around 40 Mcq which are from the software Engineering (SDLC models), DBMS, and some general aptitude questions. 

Round 2: Technical Interview

After clearing the online assessment you will get the interview mail within 3 weeks max-to-max. There can be 2 panelists who are interviewing you.  It starts with the typical interview process. The interviewer greeted me with a smile and asked me to introduce myself.  The introduction must include your education details, skills, any work experience (internships) if any.

After the introduction part, the interviewer asks some basic questions to test my programming knowledge 

  1. What is the OOPS  concept?
  2. Rate yourself in any programming language that you are good at.
  3. What is python? explain it?

After these questions, he ask to verbally code the leap year code followed by the questions on the same code and what is the logic, etc.

My interview lasted for only 20 minutes, it was an online interview. After the interview, I was not hoping for good to happen. But after some time I got the mail from the company that your HR round is scheduled. I got the mail late when I was appearing for another company test.

Round 3: HR Discussion 
In the HR round, some basic and normal questions were asked. Starting with my introduction HR asked me 

  1. Do you have any offers as of now? 
  2. Are you willing to relocate?
  3. Are you ready to sign the service bond?

Followed by other basic HR questions. The HR round lasts for only 10 minutes.

Results: After the HR discussion I got my results within 10 days and they were positive. I got the offer from Virtusa. I think this experience will help you. All the Best !!
