Computer Graphics has become a common element in today’s modern world. Be it in user interfaces, or data visualization, motion pictures, etc, computer graphics play an important role. The primary output device in a graphics system is a video monitor. This video focuses on CRT. A CRT stands for Cathode Ray Tube. A CRT is a vacuum tube that contains a number of electron guns and a screen which is a phosphorescent screen used in Television. The electron beams in a monitor that move across your screen either interlaced or non-interlaced, hitting phosphor dots on the inside glass tube, they light up and are projected on the screen. Apart from working of CRT we will see advantages, disadvantages and application area of CRT.
