Upgrading Windows Operating System Locally

Formatting is the process in which a drive prepares the surface of the disk to store new data. By using this process we insert the Operating System (OS) into the computer or repair all the damage that comes to the OS of the computer. This can be done by using Third-Party tools & Software. Before Formatting the computer we should always keep in mind what kind of formatting suits your need and which data you need to clear.

Computers are often formatted before they are transferred among users. Likewise, computers with viruses or errors can be formatted and returned to their “out of the box” settings.

Ways of Formatting:

Formatting can be done using two ways listed below:

Local: BY using the External Drive (Pen Drive, CD & DVD & Ex-HDD), this can be done all the computer whether they are present in the Network or out of Network, but in this way of formatting the PC / Laptop should be present in front of the person who is Formatting it. This is a time-consuming process.
Network: This can be done through the Local Network. In this way of formatting, the user doesn’t have to stand in front of the computer to format, but he only requires the HOST PC to be present in the same network. By using this way of formatting the user could be able to format all PC present in the Network at the same time.

Types of Formatting:

There are two types of formatting as listed below:

Partial: This type of formatting can be done when we have to Project the data of the Hard Disk, which is kept by the user, it is also known as Low – Level Formatting.
Full: This type of formatting is used for new installation & OS Crush. In this no data could be protected, it is also known as the High – Level Formatting.

Prerequisites:

External Drive/Disk (Pen Drive, CD & DVD & Ex-HDD)
OS Required (Window XP, Window Vista, Window 7, Window 8 & Window 10)

Upgrading the Windows Operating System:

Follow the below to upgrade the Windows operating System locally:

Step 1: Select the Operating System to be insolent into the computer (Window XP, Window Vista, Window 7, Window 8 & Window 10).
Step 2: Create the Bootable Drive (Pen Drive & CD & DVD)
Step 3: Insert the Bootable Drive into the PC.
Step 4: Restart the System.
Step 5: Press F12 on the keyboard for Boot Device Priority Option.

Step 6: Select the Bootable Device. Press Enter to select

Step 7: Wait till the computer will read the Bootable Device. If you are using the Pen Drive then you don’t need to press any Buttons & if you are using the CD & DVD then you need to press the key to start the boot. Wait for a while till the Bootable Drive the Fully Functional.

Step 8: Select the Language [English US] and Press Next Button.

Step 9: Click on Install Now Button

This may take a few minutes, so wait for a while.

Step 10: Select the operating system into 64 bits & 86 bits and press the Next Button.

Step 11: Agree to the terms and conditions & click on the Next button.

Step 12: Click on Custom Option.

Step 13: Select the Drive or the Partition in which you want to install the Window and press Next.

At this stage, the PC will Restart 2-3’s times.

Step 14: In the next Dialog box that pops up after the restart, you have to insert the Name of the PC and press Next. Here you can create a password for your system. After this click on Finish.
