Underscore.js _.toQuery() Method

The _.toQuery() method takes an object and converts it into an equivalent URL query string.
Syntax:
_.toQuery( Object);
Parameters: This method accepts a single parameter as mentioned above and described below:
- Object: This method takes an Object to convert.
Return Value: This method returns the equivalent URL query String.
Note: This will not work in normal JavaScript because it requires the underscore.js contrib library to be installed.
underscore.js contrib library can be installed using npm install underscore-contrib –save.
Example 1:
Javascript
var _ = require( 'underscore-contrib' );
var s = _.toQuery({ name: 'gfg' , color: 'green' });
console.log( "The generated URL Query String is : " ,s);
|
Output:
The generated URL Query String is : name=gfg&color=green
Example 2:
Javascript
var _ = require( 'underscore-contrib' );
console.log( "The generated URL Query String is : " ,s);
|
Output:
The generated URL Query String is :
https%3A%2F%2Fpractice.geeksforgeeks.org%2Fcourses%2F%3Fref=gfg_header
