Underscore.js _.mul() Method

The _.mul() Method returns the product of all the given arguments.

Syntax:

_.mul( val1, val2, ..., valn );

Parameters: This method takes n values to operate on them.

Return Value: This method returns the product of all the given arguments.

Note: This will not work in normal JavaScript because it requires the underscore.js contrib library to be installed.

underscore.js contrib library can be installed using:

npm install underscore-contrib –save

Example 1: In this example, we will see the use of _.mul() method.

// Defining underscore contrib variable
const _ = require('underscore-contrib');
 
let mulVal = _.mul(8, 22, 10);
 
console.log("The Product of given values is :", mulVal);


Output:

The Product of given values is : 1760

Example 2: In this example, we will see the use of _.mul() method.

javascript




// Defining underscore contrib variable
const _ = require('underscore-contrib');
 
let mulVal = _.mul(8);
 
console.log("The Product of given values is :", mulVal);


Output:

The Product of given values is : 8

Example 3: In this example, we will see the use of _.mul() method.

javascript




// Defining underscore contrib variable
const _ = require('underscore-contrib');
 
let mulVal = _.mul(0.8, 0.2, 0.9);
 
console.log("The Product of given values is :", mulVal);


Output:

The Product of given values is : 0.14400000000000004
