A candidate key have both property:
1. Uniqueness: in each tuple of R, values of K uniquely identify that tuple.
2. Irreducibility: no proper subset of K has the uniqueness property.

A Super key with no proper subset that uniquely identifies a tuple of relation(uniqueness + irreducibility).
