First, let’s talk about the eligibility criteria for Ugam Solution. You should be a student of  BE/B.Tech (CS/IT/EXTC). If you are from the EXTC branch you need good knowledge of programming languages and DSA. Required CGPA score of 7.5.

Prepare your CV accordingly

For the first 30mins, the recruiter will have a small pre-placement talk, about the company, its future scope, etc. At the end of this, they’ll ask if you have any questions about it “SO DO ASK A QUESTION” let it be of any kind just ask them “What was the second slide about?” or “Can you tell me about your company culture? ” any question will do. You just have to show your face to the recruiter and let them know your name.
E.g. “Hello sir it’s Mayur. What benefits do companies have that focus on work-life balance?”

Round 1 (Aptitude round): The time allotted for the aptitude test was 30 minutes. In this, we have to solve 25 questions. The questions were based on:

  • Verbal Ability
  • Logical Reasoning(Number Series, Letter and Symbol Series)
  • Arithmetic Aptitude(Time and Work, Time and Distance, Height and Distance, Percentage, etc)
  • Data Interpretation
  • Basic Maths

There are some important topics that will be sufficient for cracking this round. Approximately 210 students attended this round and 92 participants cleared this round.

Round 2 (Group Discussion): From the selected student’s group of 10 participants is formed for the GD round. After getting the topic, you’ll get 2-5 mins to think about the topic, make sure you have a notebook and a pen with you while this round. So write whatever you think about the topic and make points, be sure to write both pros and cons of the topic so you’ll have more to talk about.
The KEY to passing this round is to either start the discussion or end (conclude) it.
E.g.: “Hello everyone, I would like to initiate this discussion on XYZ …. ”  OR “Well from this discussion we conclude that XYZ has many pros and cons so…”
If you haven’t got the chance to start don’t worry just talk about the topic, remember you are expressing yourself to the judges and other students so maintain eye contact with them, its a little bit hard but practice it and don’t say everything you wrote in your book you have to keep something for later. The important thing is don’t wait for your chance whenever someone finishes talking take over from there. Just think you have to talk no matter what the scene is.
From each group, 3/4 participants will be selected, based on how many expressed themself clearly with confidence.

TIP: Don’t be in the same group as your friend

Round 3 (Personal Interview): As mentioned above be prepared with your CV and remove the things you don’t know about.

  • Mention only programming languages that you can code in.
  • At least mention one data science-related project you can get a CV template from novoresume.com to search CVs for freshers you can modify it over there.
  • Apart from a CV be good at communication and introduce yourself properly. Try running an interview by yourself by just answering the question and at the end of your answer mention something that the interviewer will ask about it in the next question.

Some of the common questions:

  • Tell me about yourself. (Do mention the language you like to code in and your project at the end so the next question will be related to this)
  • Explain one of your projects?
  • What was your role in the project?
  • What difficulty you faced in this project and how you solved it?
  • Any internship-related questions (If mentioned in CV)
  • A couple of coding questions (They can ask you to code in any language that is mentioned in your CV so mention only if you can code in it)

  • Do you have any question for me (Do ask him about the company or anything)

Prepared(About the company, their recent projects, CEO of the company, etc ) If answered properly you’ll get allowed for the HR round. 19 participants cleared this round.

Round 4 (HR):

  • Don’t get carried away because even HR can reject you so prepare a good introduction professionally as well as your hobbies, your family, etc.
  • Also, get information about the company before the HR interview.HR will ask if you are ready to relocate.
  • At the end ask the HR about his/her journey.
