Truminds Interview Experience for SDE (On-Campus)

Round 1: It was an online test of two hours duration on HackerEarth platform.

Round 2: It was a technical interview of about 45 minutes. Questions were from Operating Systems, Data Structures and Algorithms, DBMS, Web Development, Object Oriented Programming, C++, Python, and coding.

  • Introduce Yourself 
  • Easy to medium-level questions were asked like – Inheritance concepts ( I was asked to code Base class and Derived class program by sharing my screen), 
  • Paging in OS, Serializability in DBMS, Real-time operating system, and some other questions
  • Swap two numbers without using a third variable, write syntax of data structure which can store an integer and a character data types,
  • About virtual functions, basic SQL queries 
  • What are React.js and Angular.js
  • Do you have any questions for me?

Round 3: Leadership Discussion – It was also a technical cum personality round where basic CS questions were asked and presentation skills were tested. The duration was around 20 minutes.

  • Friend functions in c++, templates in c++
  • Write a program in C/C++ to print hello world such that main() function should be empty: https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/print-hello-world-empty-blank-main-c/
  • AVL trees, commLinuxin linux, what is ping command, IP addressing in computer networks, MAC add the easing, difference between TCP and UDP, Interposes Communication
  • Virtual Memory, Segmentation in OS
  • Do you have any questions for me?

Overall it was a good experience with healthy discussion on core subjects, programming and new technologies.

FINAL VERDICT – SELECTED AND ACCEPTED THE OFFER

Around 20 students from our campus applied for Truminds, from which around 12 were selected for Round 2. After Round 2, 6 students made it to Round 3. Finally, 5 students got the offer.
