This was my interview experience …
Me :Â Good Morning sir and Good Morning mam.
MR :Â Take your seat.
Me : Thank you sir.
TR :Â Give me your resume.And then my questions.They asked my favorite subjects.. I said C, C++ then started..
1.Swap two numbers without using temporary variable…( told)
2.Star pattern print normal one each row number of stars. ( wrote)
3.What are the data structures you used in C language. ( I said strings and arrays).
4.Tell me the difference between structure and union. ( told)
5.Tell me the difference between array and structure. (told)
6.Explain pointers and it’s types along with usage. ( void, null, dangling, wild) told.
7.Write a query to find 2nd highest salary in a record. ( As I kept MySQL in my resume) (told).
9 dots PUZZLE with four straight lines. ( tried but not answered).Tell me about this and super keywords in Java. I told this but didn’t said about super and I said that I am not familiar with Java as I learned oops concepts through C++.
10. Then they started asking features of oops. What is inheritance? (told).
11. What is abstraction and encapsulation? Told.
12. Tell me how will you approach binary search? (told).Now started Managerial questions.What is your opinion on a Software engineer life? (Told in my style. )Name any 5 famous places in Hyderabad. ( smiled and said).Asked about my hobbies.Abstract of my project.Asked my certifications.Seen my resume and asked are you leaning big data Hadoop? Yes sir we have that subject in semester .Ok wait outside we will tell your TR and MR result.I said okay and left outside and waited for there around 5 minutes.Then a call came for me to attend for HR within 5minutes.I waited outside and went for HR.Here is HR round went like this…
HR :
1. Tell me what you know about TCS?Told.
2.You have an experience as a team leader in hackathon? How would you lead your team?3.How you make that project in hackathon Along with your friends?
4. Okay your friend loved a girl and he want to marry her and their parents are not accepting, they want to go out(elope) and marry in register office..so how will you help your friend?I thought for 1 minute and said I will say my friend to convince their parents for 2 years and said to get higher positions in their career Wait for each other Atleast 3 years and then ask parents again, if they won’t agree they have to lead the career if then I will help them that register office method.
HR smiled ……I too gave small smile..
Name Any 4 products of TCS?..I started IRCTC.. She said no no I didn’t ask application I asked about product…Then I said tata water purifiers, Tata motor vehicles, …unable to remember mam…Then she said you will be using that in your kitchen.. I said I don’t know, she said tata salt..Then asked about do you okay with relocation?Say always YES…Are you okay with night shifts? yes.Asked about hobbies.. I said writing quora . Asked tell any 2 articles you wrote.. Told.
Finally, she said TCS policies and told me to leave.
I said thank you and gave shake hand and said thank you mam for the great experience so be confident. Confidence is everything.
They select you even you don’t answer some of questions but they see your confidence level. so never lose that.

Aptitude :Based on luck and hard work..If you answer 6/15 you will be selected . Because I answered only 6/15 which are exactly done.
C MCQ’s :
If you are CSE/IT background you will easily crack 5/10 . It’s enough.. If other branches just see..StructuresPointersArraysStringsFunctionsGetting 5/10 is easy if the above topics you practice.For this you can refer :YouTube videos C MCQs repeated in TCS.
Coding: Based on luck… It’s okay if your program doesn’t pass test cases or doesn’t compile also.. Because many of my friends even didn’t attempted coding but came up-to interview and got selected finally.If other branches like civil, mech, ece, eee..for interview just basics of C, oops concepts along with core subjects is enough.
Finally, I was selected in TCS after many failures. Finally, this is my experience of TCS ninja interview.
