TCS Digital Interview Experience 2020
TCS visited our campus to hire students for Ninja and Digital based on the performance of the students throughout the interview. Due to the covid pandemic, we had our interviews online.
Round – I(Verbal and Quantitative Aptitude): We had 10 questions in the verbal section and 15 questions in the aptitude section. Each correct answer grants a +1 mark and wrong answers result in a penalty of 0.25 marks. The difficulty of the questions was medium. We also had video, audio, and screen proctoring for the test.
Round – II(Advanced Coding): Though it’s called an “Advanced” coding round, the questions were pretty simple. We had two coding questions and both were of easy difficulty. Each question can be submitted only 5 times. So I suggest using an online compiler. Some of my colleagues complained that the python compiler used by the platform was buggy. Be very careful before submitting the code.
Round – III(Technical + HR Interview): It is advantageous to those who have their skillset oriented based on digital technology to get the digital offer. My resume was built around IoT as I explored that field in my college years through projects and thus I was able to walk them through my projects and what I used to implement them. My colleagues had interviews where they drilled them on CN and OS. Finally, HR asked me a few questions like whether I was interested in doing higher studies and whether I am okay with relocation.
I would advise you to take notes on what you would say to define your project work as that would gradually give you an idea about how you would explain it to the interviewers. GeeksforGeeks, StudyTonight, and Tutorialspoint are the main sites that helped me prepare. Do try StudyTonight as I found it to be pretty good. Never lose hope no matter what.
We got the results in a week and I got the digital offer. You can reach me through the comments section if you have any queries. I will be writing an article on how I got an offer from NortonLifeLock in the near future and I will link it in the comments.
