TAN() Function in MySQL
TAN() function :
This function in MySQL is used to return the tangent of a specified number. In any right triangle, the tangent of an angle is the length of the opposite side divided by the length of the adjacent side. Similarly, this can also be defined as tangent of x is the sine of x divided by the cosine of x, where x is the angle.
This method accepts a parameter as given below as follows.
- number – Specified numeric value.
It returns the tangent of a specified number.
The tangent of 1 is 1.5574077246549023.
The tangent of 0 is 0.
The tangent of -3 is 0.1425465430742778.
The tangent of 3 is -0.1425465430742778.
This function is used to return the tangent of a specified number.
