# SymPy | Permutation.is_Singleton() in Python

Permutation.is_Singleton() : is_Singleton() is a sympy Python library function that checks whether the permutation contains only one single element.

Syntax : sympy.combinatorics.permutations.Permutation.is_Singleton()

Return : true – if permutation is having only one element; otherwise false

Code #1 : is_Singleton() Example

 `# Python code explaining ` `# SymPy.Permutation.is_Singleton() ` ` `  `# importing SymPy libraries ` `from` `sympy.combinatorics.partitions ``import` `Partition ` `from` `sympy.combinatorics.permutations ``import` `Permutation ` ` `  `# Using from sympy.combinatorics.permutations.Permutation.is_Singleton() method  ` ` `  `# creating Permutation ` `a ``=` `Permutation([[``2``, ``0``], [``3``, ``1``]]) ` ` `  `b ``=` `Permutation([``0``]) ` ` `  ` `  `print` `(``"Permutation a - is_Singleton form : "``, a.is_Singleton) ` `print` `(``"Permutation b - is_Singleton form : "``, b.is_Singleton) `

Output :

Permutation a – is_Singleton form : False
Permutation b – is_Singleton form : True

Code #2 : is_Singleton() Example – 2D Permutation

 `# Python code explaining ` `# SymPy.Permutation.is_Singleton() ` ` `  `# importing SymPy libraries ` `from` `sympy.combinatorics.partitions ``import` `Partition ` `from` `sympy.combinatorics.permutations ``import` `Permutation ` ` `  `# Using from sympy.combinatorics.permutations.Permutation.is_Singleton() method  ` ` `  `# creating Permutation ` `a ``=` `Permutation([[``2``, ``4``, ``0``],  ` `                 ``[``3``, ``1``, ``2``], ` `                 ``[``1``, ``5``, ``6``]]) ` ` `  ` `  `print` `(``"Permutation a - is_Singleton form : "``, a.is_Singleton) `

Output :

Permutation a – is_Singleton form : False
