Introduction:

Getting into college is a significant milestone in every student’s life. It shapes their academic journey, career prospects, and personal growth. In this article, I would like to share my recent college admission experience in B.TECH(AI AND ML) SIMATS Saveetha School of Engineering and the valuable lessons I learned along the way. My hope is that by sharing my story, other students can avoid making the same mistakes and make more informed decisions during their own admission process.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university, including minimum academic qualifications and entrance examination requirements. These criteria may vary depending on the program and category

Entrance Examination:

SIMATS University conducts its own entrance examination called SCAT (SAVEETHA COMMON ADMISSION TEST) for admission to its various programs, including CSE. Candidates need to register for the examination, fill out the application form, and appear for the test.

Candidates can also get admission based on their 11th and 12th class marks.

Application Process:

Candidates need to complete the application form for SCAT and submit it along with the required documents, such as academic transcripts, certificates, and photographs. The application form can usually be submitted offline, in the admission office

Entrance Examination :

Once the application process is complete, candidates need to appear for the SCAT examination. The exam assesses the candidate’s knowledge in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Based on the exam scores, candidates are shortlisted for admission

Seat Allotment:

Shortlisted candidates are invited for admission. During counseling, candidates can choose their preferred program and specialization based on their rank and availability of seats. Seat allotment is done based on the candidate’s merit and preferences. and also based on 11th and 12th grades

Document Verification:

After the seat allotment, candidates are required to report to the university for document verification. They need to submit the necessary documents, such as educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant paperwork.

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation:

Candidates need to pay the admission fees within the specified time frame to confirm their seats. Once the complete fees are paid, the candidate has to submit the required original documents admission process is considered complete.
