Go language provides inbuilt support implementation of run-time reflection and allowing a program to manipulate objects with arbitrary types with the help of reflect package. The reflect.SliceOf() Function in Golang is used to get the slice type with element type t, i.e., if t represents int, SliceOf(t) represents []int. To access this function, one needs to imports the reflect package in the program.
Syntax:
func SliceOf(t Type) Type
Parameters: This function takes only one parameters of Type type(t).
Return Value: This function returns the slice type with element type t.
Below examples illustrate the use of above method in Golang:
Example 1:
package main
import (
"fmt"
"reflect"
)
func main() {
v := reflect.TypeOf( "123" )
fmt.Println(reflect.SliceOf(v))
}
|
Output:
[]string
Example 2:
package main
import (
"fmt"
"reflect"
)
func main() {
ta := reflect.ArrayOf( 10, reflect.TypeOf( "123" ))
tc := reflect.ChanOf(reflect.SendDir, ta)
tp := reflect.PtrTo(tc)
ts := reflect.SliceOf(tp)
fmt.Println(ts)
}
|
Output:
[]*chan<- [10]string
