React Suite Slider Component

React Suite is a popular front-end library with a set of React components that are designed for the middle platform and back-end products. Slider component allows the user to take the input from the slider, and it then displays the current value. We can use the following approach in ReactJS to use the React Suite Slider Component.

Slider Props:

  • barClassName: It is used to denote a CSS class to apply to the Bar DOM node.
  • defaultValue: It is used to denote the default value.
  • disabled: It is used to disable the component.
  • graduated: It is used to show Ticks.
  • handleClassName: It is used to denote a CSS class to apply to the Handle node.
  • handleStyle: It is used to denote a CSS style to apply to the Handle node.
  • handleTitle: It is used for customizing what is displayed inside a handle.
  • max: It is used to denote the maximum value of the sliding range.
  • min: It is used to denote the minimum value of the sliding range.
  • onChange: It is a callback function that changes data.
  • progress: It is used to show the sliding progress bar.
  • renderMark: It is used to customize labels on the render ruler.
  • step: It is used to slide the value of one step.
  • tooltip: It is used to indicate whether to show Tooltip when sliding or not.
  • value: It is used to denote the value (Controlled).
  • vertical: It is used for the vertical Slide.

RangeSlider Props:

  • barClassName: It is used to denote a CSS class to apply to the Bar DOM node.

Creating React Application And Installing Module:

  • Step 1: Create a React application using the following command:

    npx create-react-app foldername
  • Step 2: After creating your project folder i.e. foldername, move to it using the following command:

    cd foldername
  • Step 3: After creating the ReactJS application, Install the required module using the following command:

    npm install rsuite

Example: Now write down the following code in the App.js file. Here, App is our default component where we have written our code.

Step to Run Application: Run the application using the following command from the root directory of the project:

npm start

Output: Now open your browser and go to http://localhost:3000/, you will see the following output:
